The Cutting Plate
The expertly designed, stainless steel cutting plate firmly holds the glass fiber filtermat. 96 filter discs, 17mm in diameter, are cut out from the filtermat by the downward movement of the Harvester lever. Disc diameters for the 48-well and 24-well cutting plates are 11 and 14mm, respectively. With a simple switch of the cam lever, the cutting plate can be converted to a 48-well or 24-well format.
The conversion of a 96-well Harvester to a different format involves two easy steps:
- Simply remove the 96-well processing head and the 96-well cutting plate.
- Then place the new format (24-well or 48-well) processing head and cutting plate into the harvester body.
